Sybase Workspace 2.0 – Metadata Accessor Error – jconnect issue

After sucessfully installing Sybase Workspace 2.0 and connecting to a SQL Sybase Anywhere 9.x database server, I could not see any schemas for the database in the Enterprise Explorer.

Yes, I could succesfully do some SQL Selects and use the database via typing SQL, but the Visual SQL features also failed.

Conclusion:

After intalling  jcatalog.sql from Sybase’s SQL Anywhere\Scripts directory…  it works.

In deed.. once it is up and running, this is a nice development environment for SQL coders , so I hope it will also be free to use after 2008.
